All you need to know about EMSAT score system

The EMSAT score system is not very complicated for you to understand it, before thinking of applying to any reputable university at United Arab Emirates, you have to check the admission requirements in language minimum score, minimum percentages required for the specialisation you are going to apply, and check if there is an admission test.

What is a good EMSAT score?

The EMSAT scores are variable for different streams and courses. However there is a minimum range you should get to be accepted in university admission.

  • English score at least1250, or its equivalent certificate of (TOEFL 525/iBT 70 or IELTS 5.5).
  • Arabic score of 900, or its equivalent.
  • Mathematics and Physics score of 900.
  • Chemistry and Biology score of 1100, or passing the College of Medicine and Health Sciences science subjects based admission MCQ test.

If you were aiming to join the faculty of medicine or engineering or computer science,you must know that each college demands a minimum total score of your EMSAT score result and a high score in one of the four subjects related to the field.

College of Medicine and Health Sciences

  • The minimum general average is 90% in the twelfth grade certificate. A score of (1100) in the Emirates Standardized Test for chemistry or biology or its equivalent, or passing the college exam. A score of (900) in the Emirates Standardized Test for the Arabic language. Pass the MCQ or get a score of (491) on the MCAT. Pass the personal interview (MMI).

*According to the United Arab Emirates law, joining the faculty of medicine, nursing,veterinary medicine, college of food and agriculture is only for Emirates citizens.

College of Engineering

  • A score of (1100) in the Emirates Standardized Test for mathematics or its equivalent, or passing the college test. A score of (500) in the Emirates Standard Test for chemistry or physics or its equivalent, or passing the college exam. A score of (900) in the Emirates Standardized Test for the Arabic language subject or its equivalent.

College of Information Technology

  • A score of (1100) in the Emirates Standardized Test for mathematics or its equivalent, or passing the college test. A score of (900) in the Emirates Standardized Test for the Arabic language subject or its equivalent.

Faculty of Administration and Economics

  • A score of (900) in the Emirates Standardized Test for mathematics or its equivalent, or passing the college test A score of (900) in the Emirates Standardized Test for the Arabic language subject or its equivalent.

School of Law

  • A score of (700) in the Emirates Standardized Test for mathematics or its equivalent, or passing the college test. A score of (1100) in the Emirates Standardized Test for the Arabic language subject or its equivalent for the majors offered in the Arabic language.

College of Food and Agriculture

  • A score of (1100) in the Emirates Standardized Test for mathematics or its equivalent, or passing the college test A score of (500) in the Emirates Standardized Test for chemistry, physics or biology equivalent, or passing the college exam A score of (900) in the Emirates Standardized Test for the Arabic language subject or its equivalent.

How to view your EMSAT score?

The test results will appear within 2-3 weeks from taking the exam if you were a 12 grade student, and in 10 days if it wasn’t your first time taking the test, you will receive an email notifying you with the result announcement, all you have to do is to check your EMSAT portal, as the result will only be announced there.

How to get your EMSAT score certificate?

If you want to obtain your EMSAT certificate, the website of the Ministry of Education for the Emirates has published the procedures required to obtain a standard certificate, which are

  • Going to the school counselor or intentional centers 
  • Entering the Ministry’s website – moe.gov.ae
  • Selection of electronic services 
  • Choose a gallery of services 
  • Choosing the Emirates Standard Test Certificate issuance service for non-grade students The twelfth, or choosing an achievement service for twelfth grade students, or an equivalency service for university admission

  • Fill in all information and requirements Attach the required documents along with an ID photo 
  • Pay the service fee, which is 15 dirhams. 
  •  Then wait until Fulfillment of the request by the relevant staff.
  • Complete the transaction and an electronic message that includes submitting an application for the issuance of a certificate officially through the approved channels, including all the required data as a valid and valid ID number.
